About Arcadia Christian Church

Who we are:

Arcadia Christian Church (ACC) is an independent, multi-ethnic church community rooted in the heart of Pretoria. Founded in 2012 by a small group from Every Nation Pretoria, we became a fully independent congregation in 2018. Since then, we’ve grown into a diverse family of believers committed to living out the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our city and beyond.

Our church is governed congregationally, emphasizing shared leadership, transparent stewardship, and community participation. We are reformed in theology, Spirit-led in practice, and passionate about welcoming people from all walks of life — including children, students, and families.

At ACC, you’ll find a place where the Gospel is preached, worship is sincere, and lives are being transformed by the grace of God.

Vision:

To see the glory of God magnified in Christ Jesus our Lord by building a vibrant, Spirit-led community that brings hope to Pretoria and beyond.

We envision a church that:

  • Welcomes people from every nation and background
  • Raises up disciples who know, love, and follow Jesus
  • Plants churches among unreached peoples
  • Equips families, students, and leaders for Gospel impact
  • Serves our city through justice, mercy, and love

Mission

Our mission is to glorify God by:

  • Proclaiming the Gospel where worship does not yet exist
  • Making disciples in our city and across the nations
  • Planting churches among the unreached
  • Equipping every believer to be a witness of Jesus in daily life
  • Serving our community with compassion and generosity

We aim to be a Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered, mission-driven church that is deeply rooted in Scripture and radically open to the leading of God.

Missions

Mission is a theme intrinsically embedded in the Gospel.

There would be no news to share if there had never been any momentum towards the human-race by our invisible God. Surprisingly he makes the first move and having been sent by the Father, Christ enters our world, full of grace and truth as the first missionary. Then at the time of his departure the risen Lord gives the command to follow his example and keep up the momentum of mission towards others in his name.

Local churches are the primary heirs of the promise that Christ will be with us to the end of the age as we sow the good seed of the Gospel among the least reached peoples on earth.

Arcadia Christian Church is no exception. We have been praying outward, missional prayers for a few years now on a regular basis. We are coming to grips with the Gospel; its message and call, its power to humble and transform. We are thankful for the type of community the message is bringing about. It is diverse, unified, dignified, set apart, caring and eager to obey.

In the first year of our existence as Arcadia Christian Church we sent off two teams one to Kenya and the other to Madagascar. The joy of going and representing the King enthused the teams and impacted our community.

Missionaries have been added to our local church in the last year bringing with them experience, prayer and action to encourage us for the long obedience towards those who do not know the Name.

May the wonder and joy of following in the footsteps of the greatest missionary grow to overflowing in our midst. We want to share the pleasure of knowing God and the satisfaction of following him among the nations. To this end we were inspired to plan the EYANG mission’s week in April.

Mission practitioners from different countries in Africa will be sharing their experiences in the field. Be ready for immersion in the momentum of mission, to hear the highest call, to respond to the deepest challenge of your life. Let’s go together. EYANG!

Friends of ACC

ACC has many organizational friends. Here are some of them:

Mercy Ministries Madagascar

Our friend and elder Francis Adja, along with his wife Marielle and their 3 children are the leaders of the ONG Mercy Ministries Madagascar

The NGO aims to support the development and transformation of the eastern region of Madagascar in various aspects, but of course through the power of the Gospel. It is important to periodically remind the entire team of the vision, so that each department can align its interventions with this vision. The NGO organizes a team retreat twice a year, which is the ideal time to remind the team of the vision, and also to ensure that the vision is well received and understood by everyone

ACC goes to Madagascar every year for a Mission trip to support and help Mercy Ministries Madagascar. Join us next time.

Capro Missions SA

CAPRO MISSIONS is a Missionary organization that has been mobilizing, training and thrusting out missionaries since 1975. CAPRO MISSIONS in South Africa was incorporated in 2006.

CAPRO’s story is a string of adventures laced with God’s benevolent intrigues. From the post war crisis management program of a national government, through what may be considered today as reckless youthful exuberance to sheer blind pursuits. From extra-ordinary leaps of faith to inconceivable blunders, God has raised what has become one of Africa’s foremost movements of Christian frontier missions.

“…let us work now while it is day; for the night cometh when no man can work…”
